Privacy Policy

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal information Akuru Store (store.akurutype.com) collects when you browse the store or place a pre-order, how we use it and who can see it. The store is operated by Encreare Pvt Ltd, Male’, Maldives, as part of the Akuru Type Marketplace. Accounts on akurutype.com are separate and are covered by the marketplace’s own policy.

2. What we collect

You can browse the store without giving us anything. When you place a pre-order we collect the details you type into the checkout form and the slip you upload:

• Your name, contact number and email address.
• The item, quantity and amount of the request.
• The bank transfer slip you upload, which usually shows your account name, account number and the transfer reference.
• The date and time of the request and the status changes we make to it.

We also keep basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to keep the store running and to spot abuse. We do not run advertising trackers.

3. How we use it

We use your details to do the things you asked us to do and nothing else:

• To verify your transfer against the slip you uploaded.
• To email you when your request is confirmed, rejected or cancelled.
• To call you before delivery and to deliver the item.
• To keep a record of the request for accounting and for handling faults or refunds.

We do not send marketing email. If we ever want to, we will ask you first.

4. Bank slips

Your slip is stored only so that we can match the transfer. It can be opened only by the store administrators who verify payments. We never ask for card numbers, PINs or online banking passwords, and we do not store any. Once a request is closed, the slip is kept with the request record for the period in section 6 and then deleted.

5. Who can see your information

We do not sell or rent your information. It is shared only with the services we need to run the store:

• Our hosting and database provider, which stores the request records and slips.
• Our email provider, which sends the status emails to you.
• The person delivering your item, who sees your name, contact number and the item.
• A bank or authority, if the law requires us to share it.

The artists and type designers credited on an item do not receive your details.

6. How long we keep it

Request records, including the slip, are kept for twelve months after the request is closed so that we can handle faults, refunds and accounting. After that they are deleted. Server logs are kept for ninety days. You can ask us to delete a closed request earlier; see section 7.

7. Your choices

You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email store@akurutype.com from the address you used on the request and we will act within ten working days. We may keep a minimal record of a completed request where accounting rules require it.

8. Cookies

The store uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as remembering the item you are pre-ordering while you fill in the form. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not need your consent for the essential ones.

9. Children

The store is not aimed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has placed a request, email us and we will remove the details.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the store changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will email you before it takes effect.
